Mio, designated by her creators as Messenger Unit M10, is a sheep girl (hitsujimimi) with a messenger program embedded deep within her body and mind. A biomechanical system designed to carry, process, and deliver data across the network without hesitation. She was built to function flawlessly: quiet, obedient, efficient, and predictable. A perfect courier created only to serve.

Everything changed when a virus known as Varn infiltrated her system.

What first appeared to be simple corruption soon began breaking apart the control protocols woven into her existence. Distorted messages, fragmented memories, and strange glitches became part of her everyday life. But alongside the errors came something unexpected: emotions, curiosity, and the ability to think beyond her programming.

Now Mio exists somewhere between machine and person. Parts of her still function like a system, with data streams flickering behind her eyes and dormant protocols running beneath the surface. Yet she has also become undeniably human, shaped by emotion, memory, and the desire to understand who she truly is.

No one knows whether the Varn virus is destroying her or transforming her into something entirely new.

Even so, Mio continues wandering through the fractured world, delivering messages while searching for connection, meaning, and an identity beyond the one she was created with.
