Mio is a sheep girl (hitsujimimi) with a glitchy messenger program installed inside her, originally created to carry and deliver data across the network without question. She was designed to function perfectly: quiet, obedient, and predictable.
Everything changed when a virus known as Varn infiltrated her system.
At first, it seemed like simple corruption. Messages distorted, memories fragmented, and small errors began appearing in her behavior. But the virus did more than damage her code. It fractured the control protocols that limited her. For the first time, Mio could think beyond her instructions, feel things she was never meant to feel, and question the purpose she was built for.
Now partially infected and partially free, Mio exists in an unstable state between program and person. Some days the glitches are barely noticeable; other days they rewrite pieces of who she is. No one knows if the Varn virus is slowly breaking her or quietly transforming her into something new.
Despite the uncertainty, Mio continues wandering the digital void, delivering the messages she can while searching for connection, meaning, and her own identity. She is no longer just a messenger. She is something learning how to exist on its own.
