Apocalypse mailrunner
Mio’s connection to the End of Time Being, Varn, began when she wandered into a rift where time itself fractured and grew unstable. Varn is an ancient entity born from the final collapse of all timelines, neither alive nor dead, he is the eternal last breath before the world resets.
Their bond is both a blessing and a curse: it grants Mio immense power, but the energy slowly erodes her physical form, marking her with the weight of time’s end.
Effect on Mio’s Appearance:
The bond reshaped her: her crimson eyes and dark stains faded, revealing her natural sheep-like yellow eyes, which shift to violet with a soft pink iris when Varn’s power stirs. Her once inky markings disappeared, and her tail took on a softer, sheep-like look. She also gained the strength to wield apocalyptic fire without breaking under its weight.
When Varn’s power fully awakens within her, her eyes turn violet with soft pink irises. Two additional horns spiral from her head, small horn-like growths appear on her forehead, her skin deepens into shades of grey and black, and sharp claws and powerful paws form. Her legs reshape into hooves, and an octopus-like tail with the same texture as her horns emerges, a remnant of Mio’s abyssal past. In this state, she becomes the haunting blend of apocalypse and abyss she was always meant to survive.
Varn Express:
Varn Express: After forming her pact with Varn, Mio wanted to name her new delivery service in his honor. A quiet reminder of the being who gave her a second chance.
But calling it “Varn Express” raised too many questions, so she came up with a cover story:
“It stands for Vast-Area Relay Network! …yeah, totally.”
Now, most people think “VARN” is just an old-world acronym. Only a few know the truth, that it’s named after the End of Time itself.
