Abyssal Lamb
Mio was a Hitsujimimi, a sheep girl born under shadow. Her pale wool was stained with abyssal markings, and her red eyes carried the weight of power she never asked for. Misunderstood and feared, she wandered the fractured world, trying to keep the abyss inside her under control.
Beginning
Mio was born a Hitsujimimi, but unlike the others of her kind, she came into the world already touched by something ancient and wrong. Her hair, which should have been soft white, was streaked with shifting abyssal markings that pulsed faintly like ink suspended in water. Her eyes were red from the moment they opened, not the warm red of life, but a heavy, watchful crimson that seemed to look through people rather than at them.
No one knew how the abyss got inside her. Some whispered her mother had wandered too close to a rift while pregnant. Others believed the abyss had simply chosen Mio as a vessel. Whatever the reason, she grew up carrying a power she never wanted and couldn’t give back.
She learned early that the world feared what it didn’t understand. Kids avoided her. Adults watched her like she might crack open at any moment and spill something catastrophic. Even when she tried to smile, to act normal, to be kind, people feared her.
Meeting Varn
One day, wandering too close to a collapsing rift, Mio finally met someone who wasn’t afraid of her abyss.
Someone who recognized it.
Varn. The End of Time.
The ancient being saw what no one else had ever bothered to look for: a frightened, gentle girl carrying a burden far too heavy for her small frame.
And that meeting changed everything.
